At Ralston Bros Oysters, we personally offer to come out and train chefs, restaurant staff or anyone that is interested in fine food with skills that have been handed down through 5 generations of oyster farmers. We offer to visit your restaurant or home for you to learn how to shuck your own oysters. All you need to do is have a glass of wine ready to enjoy with your freshly shucked oysters and relax.

The benefits of opening your own oysters is all about the taste and quality. Buying direct from our farm and learning how to keep the natural juices inside the oysters will have anyone blown away. You don't need to be strong, its all about the technique, which is what we will teach you.

What you will receive:

  • 4 doz Petit Waterfall Oysters per person
  • 1 high quality oyster knife per person
  • 1 Ralston Bros Oysters opening towel per person

  • Hands on learning of how to shuck an oyster
  • How to keep the natural juices inside the shell (NO pre washing in fresh water)
  • Best way to handle live oysters
  • What is unique about our oysters
  • How to order direct from the farm and receive fresh live oysters within 24 hrs of being selected from the river
  • Answers to any questions you may have along the way

To ensure you savor the full, fresh flavour of our natural oysters, we recommend opening and eating the oyster directly from the shell.
